Todowing

Todowing is an unofficial Chrome extension for the Todoist web app. It shows sub-tasks nested inline in the views where Todoist lists tasks flat: Today, Upcoming, Filters, Labels, and boards. Nesting goes four levels deep, each sub-task row keeps its own due date, priority and labels, and you can complete sub-tasks from the list.

The free version includes nested sub-tasks (up to 5 sub-task rows per top-level task), seven colour palettes, controls for row spacing, section style and corner rounding, and a text-size slider from 85% to 200%. No account is needed.

The lifetime unlock adds unlimited sub-task rows, adding, renaming and reordering sub-tasks from the list, hiding completed sub-tasks, focus sessions with a countdown timer and time estimates, a font picker with about 50 Google Fonts, a markdown notes pad above Today, and read-only Apple Calendar events on Today. It costs $19.99 once, with no subscription, and includes future upgrades. Refunds are available for 14 days.

Todowing works on any Todoist plan, and Todoist Pro is not required. It runs in Google Chrome on the Todoist web app. Your Todoist API token stays in your browser and goes only to the official Todoist API. Your tasks do not pass through Todowing's servers, and the extension has no analytics or tracking.
